Astin's horse racing movie is due for release in US theaters on
October 28. "And They're Off!" stars
Sean as unsuccessful race horse trainer, Dusty Sanders. Dusty's
last chance of success is with a horse named Caveat ridden by his
psycho former girlfriend, Dee, played by Saturday Night Live alum
Cheri Oteri. According to Sean, Dusty uses ”many oblique techniques
for working with his horse that are non-traditional. He’s
not averse to Eastern traditions or other techniques that I’m
sure once the horse racing community gets a good look at this film,
you’ll find will be brought into the mainstream. For example
in football, everybody knows that the athletes spend time watching
tape to study the opponents. Well, Dusty has his horse do the same
thing. It’s that kind of extra effort that makes the difference,
like a fun movie!

American Jack Farmer leaves behind a fulfilling life to serve his
country in Iraq at the peak of the war on terrorism. Stationed at
the infamous Abu Ghraib prison, he is pushed to his limit as a daily
bombardment of insurgent mortar attacks continually threaten his
life. When an opportunity arises to work for the Military Police,
Farmer jumps at it and finds himself behind the walls of the infamous
Hard Site, a compound for the highest priority terrorists. He’s
introduced to the world of military intelligence by Sergeant Tanner,
whose harsh, and sometimes inhumane treatment of detainees raises
doubts within Farmer about the Army’s procedure.
